Metrobank ATM Card Account Opening Requirements

Opening a Metrobank ATM Card account is easy. You need to bring all the bank requirements listed below.

Requirements for Metrobank ATM account opening

  • Minimum Initial Deposit amount of just P2,000.

*For OFW who wants to open OFW Express Teller ATM account – no initial deposit needed, waived maintaining balance too!

*For SSS Pensioners, initial deposit for Metrobank ATM is only P100.

  • 2 Valid IDs – government issued IDs like Driver’s License, UMID, SSS Card, Passport, PRC License, etc.
  • Utility Bill as proof of billing address, you can submit Electricity bill, Internet bill, Credit Card bill, Phone bills, etc.
  • 2 ID pictures (2×2)
  • SSS Number or TIN Number

*Student are exempted from providing SSS or Tin number.

For those who doesn’t have any valid ID – there are a few branches of Metrobank who aren’t as strict when it comes to requirements, especially if you appeal your case very well. Some branches might consider if you will present different kinds of secondary documents like Company ID, School ID, NSO Birth Certificate, Barangay Clearance, Postal ID, Philhealth Card, TIN ID card, etc.  Our advice is that you bring as many IDs and documents as you can to prove your identity. This way you may be allowed to open an ATM card account with Metrobank.

Once you claimed your ATM card, enroll right away to Metrobankdirect access so you can monitor your banking transactions at the comfort of your home.

    • Hi Jean, you can call up Talamban branch of Metrobank to inquire directly. Pero if we based it on the published requirements of Metrobank kulang yung ID mo for account opening.

        • You can try po pero based on the feedback we received, di puede, very strict ang banks when it comes to requirements in account opening.

  2. Hi po, i have an atm card,4months na po syang di nadedepositoan,and im planninfund my account again. to checked it out last week i have a balance lower than 100.00 ,mai penalty po ba pag di makapagdeposit monthly?

    • Hi Caryl, Metrobank account which falls below maintaining balance are charged P300 pesos one time fee per month. The moment mag fall below required maintaining balance sa isang buwan, deduct agad yan ng P300 kahit isang araw lang na naging below.

      If you will deposit this March, your account will still be debited by P300. But if sa April hindi na mag fall below required balance sa Metrobank account mo, di na magdeduct ng account service charge.

      *Walang penalty if you don’t deposit monthly as long as the balance is not below the required amount for your type of Metrobank account.

  3. hi metrobank, sa allotee po diba need ng 2valid id para makapag open..? kasi yung mother ko ang maipapakita lang nya ay philhealth id pero expired naman, may voters cert cya pero papel palang hindi pa id, may id din siya ng dswd yung para sa 4p’s or pantawid pamilya, sa tingin niyo po possible ba na makapag open siya gamit yang mga yan? thanks po..

    • Hi Vergel, tawag ka po sa Metrobank branch kung saan balak mag-open ang nanay mo, para sila po mismo makaka-evaluate sa case and IDs ng mama mo po.

    16 pa po ako at gusto po sana ng ama ko na mag open ako ng atm account , pwede po ba kahit under age ako?

    • Hi Lannie, any one can register for a bank account provided you meet ALL the requirements of the bank. We suggest that you contact the Metrobank branch you want to open an account with to ask them requirements in your case.

    • Hi Lei, if you are asking about SSS pensioner account, may P100 maintaining balance sa Metrobank. Same P100 maintaining for SSS pensioner atm and passbook account.

  7. Hi po! Pwede po ba ako mag open account khit nand2 ako sa singapore? Pero sa nanay ko po ipapangalan? Atm lng po sna i oopen ko pra sa kanya.

      • So paano po un, pwede po ba ako nag open d2 sg tas ippdeliver ko nlng ung atm card sa nnay ko?

        • May risk po yang gagawin niyo kasi ATM card ang ipapadala niyo. Tapos if magkamali pa ng pindot ng PIN ang nanay niyo, or makain ng machine ang card, etc. kayo lang ang puedeng kumuha / magresolve ng any issue.

          Ang best option po is yung nanay niyo mismo ang pumunta sa banko at sya ang mag-apply, mag-open ng account. Tapos if iask ano ang source of income, sabihin lang na regular remittance from daughter.

    • Hi Mitch, the best thing to do is to call or visit the branch you want to open an account with, para 100% sure ka if pasok or kulang yung requirements mo. Minsan kasi, ibang branch maluwag, yung iba strikto talaga.

      • Gud pm po…ung sa akin po passport at drivers license lng ako meron ako.. Pero ung drivers license ko pina-renew ko today pero s Febuary next yir kopa makukuha ung drivers license card… Ung reciept plng po binigay nla s akin…. Pedi po ba un as valid id khit resibo muna hawak ko… Passport and resibo from LTO + BARANGAY CLEARANCE…pedi na po ba akong mkapag open ng account nun? Savings account atm po

        • Hi Michelle, sa tingin po namin, puede na yun esp may passport ka naman bukod sa ibang docs mo pa. If you are no longer a student, you will also be required a TIN number during opening, bagong rules po eto ng banks as directed by the Central Bank.

    • When it comes to source of income, basta students, usually maluwag ang banks kasi alam nila majority from allowance galing ang pera ng isang studyante. We suggest po to call the Metrobank branch you are interested in opening an account with para makuha full list of requirements for students like you.

    • Hi Elaiza, yung postal ID niyo if DIGITIZED postal ID (yung bago) is acceptable as ID #1. For your ID no 2, baka di tanggapin ang barangay ID. Pero we suggest po na bumisita or tumawag kayo ngayon sa Metrobank branch kung saan balak niyo mag-open, para ma-ask sila directly about sa mga IDs mo.

  12. Required po bang magpasa pa ng philhealth id kung nakapag present ka na ng drivers license?

    • Hi Josef, usually banks requires 2 valid primary IDs. Yung laminated Philhealth ID ay secondary ID lamang. We suggest you bring your driver’s license and philhealth ID, and company ID, and all other IDs na meron ka pag punta sa branch. Pero if meron kang 2 Primary IDs, sapat na yun as requirements.   13. Hello po, okay lang po ba iba ang address ng ID’s mo kung saan ka kukuha ng ATM account?

    • Hi Jumila, in general okay lang yun. Example, yung residence indicated sa ID mo ay sa Taguig pero gusto mo mag open sa Laguna. Basta make sure to bring complete requirements when you visit the branch to open an account. BUT take note that there are some bank staff na iinterviewhin ka bakit dun mo gusto mag open at hindi sa branch na malapit sa yo.

  14. Hello po.i have a foreigner boyfriend and he wants me to open a bank account. For my money to be safe daw po. Philhealth id lang po meron ako at 2×2 at NBI clearance din po. Kasalukuyang nakatira ako sa Mabolo. Possible po ba na valid na un to open up a bank account? Pls reply po. Thanks.

    • Hi Benjei, try to call the Metrobank branch you plan to open with baka payagan ka kahit wala kang primary ID.

  15. Hi po, planning to open a bank account, but the bank requires a TIN.Anong banks po ba that does not require a TIN?Hindi na po ako employed.
