The result of the CPA Board Exam October 2017 is out. The first placer “Top 1” comes from University of Sto Tomas, while the top performing school is the University of the Philippines with 100% passing rate.
A LOOK BACK
When the result of the May 2017 CPA Board Exam was released, loads of netizens lambasted Manila-based schools especially UP saying that there is not even one Iskolar ng Bayan who made it to the Top Ten list for that particular exam.
A lot of vile words were directed at the UP students including ‘nagbubulakbol lang sila’ and ‘busy kasi sila sa pagrarally kaya bokya na naman’, ‘asan na ang UP?’. See sample:
These netizens may be ignorant of the fact that most students from Manila schools including UP students take the October 2017 CPA board instead of the May exam, because their graduation is slated June.
Thus, it was impossible then for the Accounting graduating batch of UP to take the May 2017 CPA exam. Now, with the recently released CPA board exam October 2017, these isko and iska have proven their mettle.
One could ask today, what will those individuals who hurled hateful comments against UP last May say now that the premier state university registered a 100% passing rate again, as well as there are two exam takers from UP that made it to the Top Ten list for October 2017 CPA Board Exam?
