Malacanang Declared 2017 Philippine National Holidays

These are the upcoming 2017 Regular and Special Holidays in the Philippines as declared by Malacanang and the Office of the President. Proclamation No. 50 gives details on the holidays next year.

Aside from the NATIONAL HOLIDAYS – Regular and Special Non-working days, there are also special local holidays like city charter day, province festival celebration, province charter day, etc. Where to get info or specific dates for these local holidays? Call up the provincial capitol or city hall information office.

Philippine Holidays 2017 Declared by Malacanang

The 2017 Regular and Special Holidays (working and non-working) have been declared by the Office of the President through Proclamation No. 50, series of 2016 signed by President Duterte last August 16, 2016.

The announcement of 2017 Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha will be made via separate proclamation, sometime in June or July 2017. iSensey will update this post right away once the official announcement has been made regarding Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha national holiday dates for 2017.

JANUARY HOLIDAYS

January 1, 2017, SUNDAY – New Year’s Day (Regular holiday)

January 28, 2017 – SATURDAY – Chinese New Year (Special non-working day)

FEBRUARY HOLIDAYS

February 25, 2016, Thursday – EDSA People Power Anniversary (No school special holiday; work as usual for private and government employees).

MARCH HOLIDAYS

NO HOLIDAY for March 2017 in the Philippines.

APRIL HOLIDAYS

April 9, 2017, SATURDAY – Araw ng Kagitingan (Regular holiday)

April 13, 2017, THURSDAY – Maundy Thursday (Regular holiday)

April 14, 2017, FRIDAY – Good Friday (Regular holiday)

April 15, 2017, SATURDAY  – Black Saturday (Special non-working day)

MAY HOLIDAYS

May 1, 2017, MONDAY – Labor Day (Regular holiday)

JUNE HOLIDAYS

June 12, 2017, MONDAY – Independence Day (Regular holiday)

JULY NO HOLIDAYS

**Possible Eid’l Fitr and Eid ul Adha in July 2017. We will post once official announcement has been made by the Office of the President for these religious holidays.

AUGUST HOLIDAYS

August 21, 2017, MONDAY – Ninoy Aquino Day (Special non-working day)

August 28, 2017, last MONDAY of August – National Heroes Day (Regular holiday)

SEPTEMBER 

September 1, 2017, FRIDAY – Eid’l Adha (Already declared as Regular Holiday) Another long weekend!

OCTOBER NO HOLIDAYS

Just in today October 9, 2017:

Malacanang declared OCTOBER 31, 2017 as Special Non-Working Holiday to give ample time to all those who will go home to the provinces for Undas 2017.

NOVEMBER HOLIDAYS

November 1, 2017, WEDNESDAY – All Saints Day (Special non-working day)

November 30, 2017, THURSDAY – Bonifacio Day (Regular holiday)

DECEMBER HOLIDAYS

December 25, 2017, MONDAY – Christmas Day (Regular holiday)

December 30, 2017, SATURDAY – Rizal Day (Regular holiday)

December 31, 2017, SUNDAY – Last day of the year (Additional Special non-working day for New Year’s 2017)
