The Social Security System has mandated that SSS Maternity notification will be done via online, through the website of SSS.
Is it easy to notify about maternity on the SSS website? Yes. But first you must already have an access to the MySSS member’s dashboard. If you have not registered yet for online access, you will not be able to do the SSS Matben 1. So register for a MySSS account first before you do the steps on this article.
Maternity benefit is among the several SSS benefits available to members. However, this particular one is only for female members.
This SSS tutorial will be sharing how to notify maternity via website access. Follow the steps below:
First, use your computer or laptop and visit www.sss.gov.ph.
Second, login by inputting your username and password.
Third, once you are inside the SSS member’s dashboard click “E Services”
Fourth, click “Submit Maternity Notification”
Check screenshot to see how it looks like inside the SSS member’s access.
Fifth, once that is done, this page will load wherein you need to enter the following details:
Expected date of delivery (EDD) – this is a drop down menu, just choose the month, day, and year per your latest ultrasound. Without an ultrasound, you will not be able to give a good estimate on when you will deliver.
The EDD is important because through it you will know your semester of contingency and thus can now compute how much will be your SSS maternity benefit based on your monthly salary credits (MSC) prior to the semester of contingency.
The next section, you will need to decide. Do you want to allocate a portion of your maternity leave credits to your spouse/partner or alternate caregiver or not?
Our iSensey teammate selected “No, I want to avail the full SSS maternity benefit”.
If you will choose to allocate or give a portion of your maternity benefit, you will indicate how many days you will give to husband/partner/caregiver and the complete name of this person.
If you will not choose to allocate then the full 105 days of maternity leave and benefit will be given to you.
Select the option you want if you will allocate or not and then click “Submit”.
Sixth, the screen will display your chooses. Make sure to check if details are correct. If all correct, click “Submit”.
Seventh, the screen will refresh and you will now see that your SSS Maternity Notification is successful. Make sure to screenshot the notification for your file, even though you will also received an email from SSS about your successful Matben 1 notification.
Important: You will be submitting the notification screenshot along with other documents after you give birth and will now file for the SSS Matben 2.
You may now also check the email connected with your SSS online account to see the message about successful maternity notification.
Take note of the Transaction No. of your successful maternity notification.
Notifying SSS about your pregnancy is now convenient through the website. No need to go to a branch to do this.
Take care and our prayers are for a successful and healthy pregnancy for you and your baby.
