The Social Security System or SSS has made loan PRN mandatory, which means that the paying of loans without PRN is no longer accepted by SSS starting May 1, 2021, this is for the billing month April 2021.
Loan payments without PRN are still accepted in branches with Automated Tellering System but strictly until April 30, 2021 only. No more extensions.
RTPL PRN generation is not available to employed individuals. For SSS members who are currently employed, the proper way to pay a salary loan, calamity loan, LRP loan, etc. is to have the company or the employer automatically deduct the monthly payment from the employee’s salary. It will be the employer who will generate a loan prn for the employee.
For employed members trying to access the PRN page on My.SSS website. they will get an error that says “No active PRN for this SSS account number” or “No Record”.
RTPL PRN generation is only available for self-employed individuals, voluntary members, OFWs, and employers.
How To Generate and Get SSS Loan PRN for the first time
This iSensey guide is for those members whose status are self-employed, voluntary, and OFW, this is also applicable to employers. This is especially for those who are generating loan PRN for the first time.
There are various ways to see, generate, get the PRN for loan payments for these specific SSS members and these are:
- SMS notification to registered mobile number of the individual member or employer.
2. Email notification to the registered email address of the individual member or employer.
3. Login to My.SSS registered account of the individual member or employer and access RTPL PRN page.
4. Going to an SSS branch to inquire about PRN loans over the counter or via the e-Service Centers.
5. Using the Self-Service Express Terminals (SETs) which are located in SSS branches.
Take note that the generation of Payment Reference Number (PRN) for loan payments is from 1st to 6th day of the month following the billing month. The old PRN expires upon the generation of the new PRN for the latest billing month.
SSS PRN Loans Process Flow for Employers / Individual Members
Once the employer or individual has generated and paid a loan billing statement with PRN, for the subsequent months the process flow will be like this:
First step – SSS will generate loan billing statement with PRN every 1st to 6th day of the month
Second step – SSS will send loan billing statement with PRN to Employers (ER) and Individual Members (IM) thru email and SMS
Third step – Individual members may now view or modify the amount to be paid in billing statement with PRN thru their My.SSS account.
How To Edit PRN Amount
Some members and employers encounters the need to change the amount indicated in the PRN. PRN can be edited by doing the following:
For individual members – this can be done through the My.SSS account and accessing RTPL PRN. Members may also make over the counter request at e-Service Centers in SSS branches.
For employers – Addition of employees or editing the amount to pay will be done via the employer’s My.SSS account Loans Collection List (LCL).
How To Pay SSS Loans Using PRN
SSS loan payments now require Payment Reference Number (PRN), once the member-borrower gets the PRN for the month, he/she can pay it now via the following payment channels:
Visit an SSS branch equip with an Automated Tellering System (ATS) and pay.
Going to a Real-Time Processing of Loans (RTPL) compliant SSS Collecting Partners, which are banks and non-banks institution and pay.
Loan PRN Errors and Issues Need to Contact SSS
For those who encounter issues related to RTPL PRN, send an email to SSS at email address PRNHelpline@sss.gov.ph along with the following details:
- Full name
- SSS Number
- Details of Concern
- Attached SSS ID or 2 valid IDs
After the email, SSS will send you a CRMS ticket number. Use this ticket reference number to make follow-ups.
Another way to reach SSS for PRN request or issues is to contact the Call Center from 8 AM to 2:30 PM Monday to Friday using the following telephone numbers:

Right now there are reported issues that the RTPL PRN applicable month is still February 2021 when it is already April 2021. Employers and members are now trying to pay the loan due for March 2021.
