Get the details of the 2018 new minimum daily wage rate of employees and workers in Region 7.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPB) has announced the effectivity of the new minimum wage for Central Visayas covering the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, which is set this coming August 3, 2018.
The new wage rate in Cebu and other Region 7 provinces will be implemented August 3. Companies and human resource personnel must make sure to adhere to the new daily wage rate for workers to avoid getting penalized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
If you are an employee or daily wage worker and your company does not give out the government mandated new minimum wage, report the erring company to DOLE.
Check below for the new wage rate per class for 2018. Take note that non-agriculture and agriculture companies and businesses have different minimum wage.
CLASS A which is comprised of the cities of Carcar, Cebu, Danao, Lapu Lapu, Mandaue, Naga, Talisay and Municipalities of Compostela, Consolacion, Cordova, Liloan, Minglanilla, San Fernando, or Expanded Metro Cebu, the rates are:
- Non-Agriculture employing more than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 386
- Non-Agriculture employing less than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 376
The Agriculture Sector under Class A is given a wage increase from Php 20 to Php 52 from the old amount under No. RVOII-20.
- Agriculture (Non-Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 348
- Agriculture (Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 316
*New minimum wage rate for 2018 Agriculture Sector – Class A: PHP 368
CLASS B which is comprised of the cities of Toledo, Bogo, and the rest of Municipalities in Cebu Province except Bantayan and Camotes Islands daily minimu wage rate are:
- Non-Agriculture employing more than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 348
- Non-Agriculture employing less than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 343
Wage increase given for Class B Agricultural Sector is from PHP 10 to PHP 25 from the old amount under RVO11-20.
- Agriculture (Non-Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 318
- Agriculture (Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 303
*New minimum wage rate for 2018 Agriculture Sector – Class B: PHP 328
CLASS C which is comprised of Tagbilaran City and all municipalities in Bohol Province & Negros Oriental Province, the daily min rate for wages are:
- Non-Agriculture employing more than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 338
- Non-Agriculture employing less than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 333
Wage increase given for Class C Agricultural Sector is PHP 10 from the old amount under RVO11-20.
- Agriculture (Non-Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 303
- Agriculture (Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 303

CLASS D which is comprised of the Municipalities in Siquijor Province & Municipalities in Bantayan and Camotes, the wage rate minimum per day are:
- Non-Agriculture employing more than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 323
- Non-Agriculture employing less than 10 workers NEW min wage rate: PHP 318
Wage increase given for Class D Agricultural Sector is from PHP 10 to PHP 25 from the old amount under RVO11-20.
- Agriculture (Non-Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 288
- Agriculture (Sugar) under No. ROVII-20 old amount: PHP 303

Know that you have rights as workers to receive the minimum pay as mandated by the RTWPB, DOLE, and NWPC.
