Metrobank Opening Requirements for Passbook Savings Account

Check out this guide on how to open or apply for a passbook savings account in Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, or simply Metrobank.

There are depositors who prefers opening a passbook account versus opening a savings account with an ATM card. The reason cited is that it is a bit more hassle to withdraw money from your passbook account since you have to physically visit your branch, so this might discourage you in the end to withdraw cash. And thus, be in better control when it comes to saving money.

As opposed to having a counterpart ATM card for your savings account wherein you can just go to any ATM machine that abounds in malls, business centers, etc. and be able to withdraw even if it’s a holiday.

Hi Joeric, pumunta ka nalang sa Metrobank para sa choices mo sa account and how much ang opening and maintaining balance ng napili mo na account type. Then aside from the requirements listed on this post, you must also bring your DTI certificate, mayor’s permit etc if gusto mo ang bank account is nakapangalan sa business mo.

Hindi sya puedeng ma-switch or upgrade. But what you can do pag meron ng sapat na funds is mag open ng separate passbook account. Magkakaron ka ngayon ng savings ATM account at savings passbook account.

Hi Analyn, maintaining balance is also P10K. You can bring your husband’s proof of billing then also bring copy of marriage certificate, sa tingin namin with those additional requirements, papayagan ka na ng banko na mag-open.

kada buwan po ba kailangan laging P10K ang dinedeposit ko.
    Salamat po sa reply.

    • iSensey says

      April 17, 2019 at 8:01 pm

Kaya wag pababaain sa 10K if passbook savings.

If ATM-savings 2k ang maintaining so wag pababa-in sa 2K ang balance sa account.

Hi, what if mag open kami ng boyfriend ko ng joint account then we have target amount for 1 year, then let say after we’ve reached that targeted amount that we need, can we closed that account immediately? Or is there any option we can choose for our plans so its easy for us to decide what Passbook savings account do we need too. Thanks.
