Loyola Plan Holders – Requirements to File Claims and Get Check Payment

Just recently the Insurance Commission (IC) called the attention of Loyola Plans Consolidated Inc for the apparent shortage of the company’s trust fund.

Where it stands now, this pre-need company trust fund deficiency is as much as P238M. The Trust Fund shortage is spread into the following:

  • P66 million for life plans
  • P120 million for pension plans
  • P50 million for educational plans

Loyola Plans Claims Requirement

The Insurance Commission has issued statement last week that IC will take over this pre-need company and put Loyola under conservatorship if the company does not come up with the cash needed to cover the trust fund deficiency.

The good news is that the Insurance Commission announced today April 18,2016 that Loyola has enough non-cash corporate assets that can cover the shortfall. These assets will be liquidated, and the money that will be raised will then be injected into the Trust Fund. Once done, all claims will be serviced accordingly under supervision of the IC.

However, asset liquidation will take time since the mentioned assets includes buildings, condominiums, other real estate properties. This means further delay before plan holders can get receive their check payments.

RELEASED CHECKS

The Insurance Commission and Loyola is still reconciling and processing documents of all matured plans. But that there have been payment checks released to several plan holders to date, and they are working as best and fast they can to service all other waiting plan holders.

For those who have already filed claims you are advise to wait for your check payment. When will you have it? No definite timeline yet. Continue to follow-up at the Loyola Makati office or with the Insurance Commission.

REQUIREMENTS TO FILE CLAIM

If your plan is already matured and you have not filed your claim yet, you can do so now. Just bring the following required IDs and documents when you go to Loyola Makati office to file your claim. An IC officer will also be there at the office to help out plan holders.

  • Certificate of Full Payment or Receipts
  • 2 Valid IDs
  • Special Power of Attorney or SPA – If you can’t personally go to the Loyala head office in Makati because you are in the province or outside the country execute an SPA.

PETITION STARTED BY A PLAN HOLDER

In case you are a Loyola policy holder affected by this issue, there is a Change.org petition addressed to the Insurance Commission and Loyola Plan Consolidation Inc. The petition is for Loyola to release plan holders check on time. If you want to sign this online petition, visit this link.

        Gud am. Inquire ko lang po if may cert of full payment na and 10 yrs from now pa po maturity date ng Time plan, ano po ang pwedeng maclaim ng beneficiary if the planholder passed away. Thanks po.

          Hi Geradyn, try to check yung contract esp the fine prints, the rules are usually there. or the best way is to pay a visit sa Loyola office sa Makati para may makausap ka na officer nila at masagot lahat ng Qs mo.

            Good morning
            I am the daughter of Romeo Callet and beneficiary of the Loyola Timeplan purchased by my father which has fully matured last Feb 17, 2013 yet.
            He has the Certificate of Full Payment already but has not claimed it .
            What shall we do. By the way my f ather passed away last May 13 of this year.

          Hello. This is Leonardo Firmo of Iloilo City. Our time plan matured last year’s July 2018 for ten years waiting. Now its past eleven years and we have not received any amount from Loyola. We already gave the complete requirements at their Loyola Guadalupe office and waited. Everytime, the things they say are the same. What should be done? Please respond.

      Hellow po…Good day!!…matured na po ang Educational Plan ng anak ko since January 2018. Kaso po nawala ang Contract and Certificate of Full Payment ko, Meron na po akng Affidavit of Loss with Certification from the Publishing company and other requirements.Tanong ko lang po kung ano ang next step na dapat kung gawin.     hello po..member po ako ng loyola at lima po plans ko po ang iba po sa 20131,2025,2018 pa mag matured.ang isa po yearly kopo nakukuha ,kaso last year indi kona nakuha at sa darating na july 31 magtured sa ulit.my memoryal din po ako at nakapangalan sa mother ko,lahat po yan ay fully paid na at my certificate na po.tumawag po ako sa insurance commision ,sabi da indi ko pa makuha dahil indi pa bayad daw ang my ari..anu bah dapat kong gawin..pls po tulungan nyo naman po ako.taga bacolod city po ako at nag email na rin po ako sa pubinsurance commision about my problem noong may4 at 5 po.

      Hello Ma. Bettixie, yung memorial po ng loyola ang alam ko walang problema yun. contact mo yung loyola especially about your matured 2013 plans, kasi yung matured as of 2016 ang pinaprocess ng loyola-insurance commission as of this time. Yung 2018 and 2025 mo na plans, antay pa ng new news from Loyola Management and insurance commission. Sana mo pakuha niyo lahat ng pinaghirapan niyo soonest. Also call and email Loyola and Insurance commission, para later on if need ng ebidensya na nagcontact ka you will have email-correspondence with them as proof, in your email list all your plan details including policy number and payments made.

    We had fully paid my mother’s life insurance last year but until now we are not receiving the Certificate of Full payment. We tried to contact the number provided many times but no one is answering. We are located at Negros Oriental and we cant afford to go to Makati City just to request for a certificate.

    What can you suggest we must do so that loyola will process our request for certificate of full payment?

      Hi Maureen, ang pinaprocess palang ngayon ay 2015 matured plans. Best suggestion is for you to visit Loyala office in Makati or inquire directly from the Insurance Commission regarding your 2016 matured plan from Loyola.

    I have filed my TP Benefit last July 2014, My TP Plan maturity is February 2014. Until now I have not receive the check promised after complying all the requirements for the claim. I have made several calls and they keep saying they will send the check to my bank. I am really disappointed this company tried to screw the poor people who struggling to pay their premium only to be lied about it.

      Lalo na wala na sila office. Only in Manila.yan na lng ang puntahan namin taga Mindanao. Sa Manila to follow then wala pang release.i hope they will take an action.

    My timeplan had already matured last Nov 2013. I filed my claim last July 2015. And Loyola gave me a sched that it will be release on June 14 2016. It was very difficult calling Loyola, most of the times it was the answering machine who will accept my call. Last July 2016, I wrote a letter addressed to Hon. Emmanuel F. Dooc(Insurance Commisioner) regarding my problem. But until now I didn’t received my claim yet. What will I do next ? Will I write a 2nd letter to the Insurance Commission again?

    Good pm! Rebecca Malate po eto follow up ko lang po ung release teske ko kc last tym ko nag follow up may 20 sabi 3 to 6 mts. pero tuwing magpupunta ako sa office sa tacloban sasabihin d alam kung kelan. Sana naman malinawan na ang claim ko. Palagi ko tinatawagan ang mga nos. na binigay pero walang sumasagot waist of time and money lang nakainis na talaga. FEB 15, 2016 UNG maturity ko. I sumitted my requirements before my plan matures. I even send emails but there was no reponse. Please i need clarification regarding this matter. Thank you!

    Good Day I am a Loyola time plan holder and my father was also insured in your life insurance. My time plan has already matured last June 4, 2016. I have already forwarded all the documents to the main office in makati but what i sent was the phophotocopy of my certificate of full payment. according to the loyola agent, we have to send there my original copy of the said form together with the requirement for the unrendered memorial benefit plan of my father who passed away last november 6, 2016. my problem is, I do not know where to secure the forms needed for the unrendered claims since there has no offices left in Pagadian or even in a nearby provinces. May I know What is the best thing to do?

      Hi Rowena, it would be best if you can go visit the Loyola branch in Makati to resolve the issues you are facing. Also, they ask you to give the ORIGINAL certificate of full payment? Make sure to get an acknowledgment receipt that they indeed received your original certificate of full payment just to be on the safe side.

    I am a college assurance planholder of my son. Nagmature po ang plan noong 2002 pa. Na avail po ng anak ang 5 tseke sa 8 na dapat na matatanggap niya para sa 4 na taong kurso. May kulang po ang Loyola ng 3 tseke na tig 5 thousand bawat semester o Php15,000.00 lahat.
    Paano ko po ma claim ang kulang. Hangad ko po ang inyong maagap na tugon.

    Good day po I just wanted to ask the status of Loyola Insurance Co. I am a policy holder of Loyola Time Plan one of my policy will mature next year 2018 is there any good news that the company will bounce back to normal?. I wish that they can find a solution to solve their problem of luck of funds because I wanted to wait the maturity of my policy I wanted a big return of my money as stated of the contract. If their business will continue to fall I’d better withdraw all my monies.

    Hello. Thanks for your help. I called the Loyola main office and was told that what they’re processing now are still the 2015 claims, which will be finished MAYBE by March 2017. Then they’ll start processing the 2016 claims. Is there a way to verify this information?

      Hi Wilma, as far as we know you can’t encash it, you need to follow normal process – wait for the plan’s due date then file a claim, etc.

      Send an authorization letter sa kapamilya mo dito na sila ang kumuha sa full payment certificate, magpadala ka din ng photocopy ng ID mo baka hingin ng Loyola. Or para po 100% sure, tawagan niyo ang Loyola for their proper and complete procedure inclaiming full payment certs.

    Hi,
    I have a Classic Gold Plan that reach its maturity period on March 2, 2017 as stated on my contract. I have my Certificate of full Payment and all the receipts and emails that I received when I started . The only dilemma I have at the moment is that I am living in Australia , working in an Establishment that I can just leave any time I want and have changed my family name into my married name. My mother was the beneficiary on that said contract and deceased.
    What shall I do to claim the fruit of my labor? Can I ask my sister who can act on my behalf? What documentation I need to give to my sister to prove my identity? I am now an Australian Citizen and have an Australian passport. Do you I need to submit a letter from the Company where I am working? What do I need to do ? Just want to come home when I am sure that I have the “ENTITLEMENT ” ready for me….Please advice.

      Hi Rossini, the best thing to do would be to request your sister to go to the office of Loyola in Makati so she can discuss your case. Based on our assessment, you probably need to send a notarized Special Power of Attorney naming your sister as your official representative to transact with Loyola, a copy of your marriage contract to prove the changed of name, and photocopy of valid IDs as well as photocopy of the fully paid mature plans.Most likely you will be required to submit additional documents, they might even ask for the original docs too, etc. To be 100% sure, have your sister speak personally with a Loyola Plans officer.

    Gud day po. Iniwan po skin ng lola ko ung resibo ng memorial plans nya pero wala pong certificate.2014 ko pa po ine encash yun ang sabi kelangan pa po certificate.     Good day.. My father was having a liFe plan in Pagadian CiTy. He died last August 31, 2017. We did not know that the office was already close.. When we are to look for the office to avail the service, that’s the time we know that there’s no office in the provincial area..
    Can we claim in cask instead to avail the burial services..?
    What is the requirement and where we can claim it..

    Please help me to get refunds of my parents Loyola’s burial plan. They are both given an award of full payment last 1987. I have the documents here with me complete with receipts stappled. I only discover them last month considering that they are both deteriorated now. My mother is bedridden while my father is stuck in a wheelchair. I am looking forward that this can be given an attention.

      Hi Cynthia, pag maibigay mo na yung original receipts niyo tapos mawala (wag naman sana), mahirap maghabol na. Ask Loyola if puede photocopy of receipts nalang ang isend mo if puede or if puede iemail mo nalang ang softcopy ng receipt (picturan ang original receipts and send it to them via email). Kasi bakit nila hihingin ang receipt? They should have a copy on file, and dapat ang need lang nila is the receipt no para madali nilang matrace yung copy nila ng ORs niyo.

    hi good day! I have been writing to Loyola Plans through their emails but no replies, until i saw this adds.
    I have 3 kids educational plans. The elder child got claims when time Loyola was ok then, but it stopped when the company got this problem and it was not fully paid. Second child already matured claims but i got none till today. The third child will be graduated his JHS and it is time to claim educational plan with Loyola.
    I hope you give response to my problems with Loyola. I also have fully paid retirement plan with Loyola Plans.

      Hi Marvic, we are not connected in any way with Loyola. We just shared info that is publicly available. For answers to your concern, only Loyola management can address them.

    Been writing to Loyola for our Time Plan claims and Atty. Sanchez and Team from the Insurance Commission, but they are still mum about our queries. With so much twisting hands from August 4 until today, not even a faint squeak. All we need to hear are some answers. I have invested all my trust and this is what we got in return.
    Had I own a crystal ball to see this coming, I could have invested my pennies to selling shawerma, perhaps I could be a millionaire by now. We are all desperately seeking justice.
