CSC Advisory on Government Employees Who Wants to Take COMEX 2017

The Civil Service Commission has issued a new advisory regarding COMEX 2017 or the Computerized Examination for government employees.

If you are a government employee (permanent, job order, temporary, contractual employee, etc) with no CS eligibility, and who wants to take the COMEX this year,  please follow this procedure as published by the Civil Service Commission.

  1. Have your HRMO or Administrative Officer write a letter requesting COMEX schedule; address the letter to the CSC regional director. Or contact first the Examination Services Division (ESD) of the Regional Office if you have other concern or inquiries.
  1. The request letter must contain the following details:
  • List of interested employees with no CS Eligibilities, the list must contain their Full Name, Date of Birth, and Contact Number.
  • Contact Details of the HRMO or Admin Officer

CHECK this post to know if you have CS Eligibility / Exempted from taking the Career Service Exam.

  1. Submit the request letter to the receiving unit of the CSC Regional Office.
  2. Once officially received, expect a reply with your COMEX schedule.

Things you need to know:

  1. While you wait for the reply on COMEX schedule, make sure that you and all interested examinees have registered at the COMEX website.
  2. Once you are notified of the COMEX schedule, please allocate whole day for the COMEX.

What will happen on the day of your Civil Service Computerize Examination?

8:30 AM to 11:30 AM Activities

  • Personal Appearance and Processing of Applicant
  • Verification of Identity
  • Verification of Entries
  • Digital Capture of Photo and Biometrics
  • Payment of COMEX fee, which is P680

 1 PM to PM 

  • Examination Proper

Different COMEX schedule per region, so please coordinate first with the regional CSE office in your area.
